41 years ago I married the most amazing young lady. She was and still is Beautiful, sweet, funny and exciting to be around. She was full of energy and Loving and I liked her an awful lot. I liked being around her and when she laughed it just made me all happy inside. I dedicated myself to her 41 years ago today and she dedicated herself to me. One of the attributes that I love about her was her Love of poetry. She had at that time a book of love poems and a book entitled "Apples Of Gold". Both of these books we still have to this day. The apples of gold book was based on the scripture found in Proverbs 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. There are many things that must all fit together to have a wonderful marriage, the most important of all being the love of God on us for us and in us and sharing His love with one another. That love is a sacrificial love, and that within itself is a whole another subject. The book is built on the merits of Being a Born again Child of God and having the Spirit of God Dwelling in you, then the fruit of the Spirit is those things listed in Galatians 5:22-23 among those things are Love, Joy, Peace, Long suffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, and Temperance. These are the things that can make a long and lasting loving relationship between a husband and wife. But we must possess and partake and exercise in and of these fruits often if we are to reap the bounty of this harvest. These Fruits not only will benefit our marriages but our families, our friends and our fellowship with one another. Therefore Dear Readers "A word Fitly Spoken is Like Apples of Gold in Pictures of Silver" is not just any old word but it is based on The Word. It is Based on the Words of God.
A few years ago Kelly and Kerry started Blogging and I started following the friends that they blogged with. I was so impressed with this group of young folks and their insight and Love of the Lord and their writing skills that my heart was drawn unto them. Since that time I have been caring a burden that I have tried to quench by ignoring, but it would not go away. My burden has been to promote, and Praise the Lord in such a manner that would bring comfort, joy, peace, gentleness, long suffering, goodness, meekness and temperance to my fellow travelers in this world. And so now with the help of Kelly creating this opportunity I dedicate this Blog to this end. I do want to make perfectly clear that I am totally dependant on God to bless in this endeavor. I have no wisdom of my own. I have sat among men that I truly marvel at that seem to have such wisdom, and I am thankful for them but I have often wondered why do I not have wisdom. This being said I am not baking the Humble Pie for me to serve to you except to say that I have read some things that I believe to be very wise and would like to share with others but I have no new wisdom to proclaim. If there be any wisdom, please give Glory Unto The Lord. The Lord has given differing men differing gifts, the scripture is just one of such gifts. Another is in the form of songs and hymns. Mine? I'm not really sure...Husband, Father, Poppa all good but the fact that God has revealed to me that I am a child of God and I have been able to see some of his truths.....Talk about gifts, That's good enough for me. My endeavor then..."A Word Fitly Spoken"

Congradulations to you and Sis. Beverly. We love you both and appreciate your example so much. You always have lots of words of encouragement and wisdom for us and we are excited about your blog.
Have you ever read something and just tried to supress the lump in your throat the whole time?
I am so thankful to have such a shining example of love in your's and mom's marriage. We read of the love of God, and the love of our Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ, and we physically see those two loves manifested in such a life of dedication to one another.
We love you and mom and look forward to those 41 years turning into 50 years, and 60 years, and 70 years...
We also look forward to the blessings we might receive in reading your words of comfort and praise and joy, and that the Lord will continue to put this desire on your heart!
I hope you all have a wonderful anniversary week! We love you both!
I am glad to see you on here! I look forward to reading your blog. I always learn something when I talk with you!
Welcome, BD!

We love ya'll Sis Kathy
Thank You Sis. Kathy for your encouragement and you and Brother Windels Friendship.
